Neurodivergent Coaching and Support

Life on the spectrum presents unique challenges. I offer personalized neurodivergent (autism, ADHD) coaching and practical everyday support in Ballina and surrounding areas, to help individuals and families navigate everyday struggles, build confidence, and create a balanced and fulfilling life.

My approach is holistic, considering emotional, physical, and environmental factors that impact well-being. With a background in social work, massage therapy, and extensive self-education in neurodiversity, mental health, relationships, nutrition, and exercise, I tailor my support to your unique needs.

Sessions are flexible and adapted to your needs—whether it’s structured coaching, hands-on support, or a mix of both. My goal is to provide understanding, practical solutions, and a safe space for growth and change – in your home, my home, or out in nature. I recommend a relaxing massage before we focus on:

Emotional regulation and coping strategies – learn techniques to manage overwhelm, reduce anxiety, and improve daily functioning.

Sensory-friendly lifestyle support – adjust routines, environments, and habits to create a calmer, more structured life.

Parent and caregiver guidance – gain tools and insights to better support your neurodivergent child while maintaining your own well-being.

Executive function and routine building – help with organization, time management, and creating sustainable routines.

Practical everyday assistance – support with tasks that feel overwhelming, from household organization to managing transitions.

Movement, health, and relaxation strategies – incorporate healthy habits like gentle exercise, balanced nutrition, mindfulness, and stress-reducing activities to support overall well-being.

Respite Care

Caring for a neurodivergent loved one is a journey filled with both joy and challenges. It requires patience, deep understanding, and regular moments of rest. I offer NDIS-funded respite care in the Ballina region, providing neurodivergent children with connection, comfort, and fun — while giving caregivers time to rest and recharge.

With a background in social work, lived experience as a neurodivergent person, and years of parenting my autistic daughter, I understand the value of consistency, trust, and individualized support. My approach is gentle, sensory-aware, and tailored to each child’s unique preferences — whether they need quiet time, playful engagement, or clear structure.

When suitable, I’m joined by my 10-year-old daughter, Marikka, who is also autistic. She has a natural ability to connect with other neurodivergent children, offering companionship, comfort, and a sense of belonging — especially for those who find social situations challenging. Together, we create a safe, accepting space where children feel free to be themselves.

Respite care can take place in your home, my home, or out in nature. Activities are adapted to your child’s needs and interests and may include:

Outdoor adventures: beach walks, bodyboarding, swimming, playing in the sand, playground and skatepark outings, small trips to animal sanctuaries and national parks, as well as gentle hikes.

Creative play: crafts, sensory-friendly art projects, storytelling, and imaginative play.

Games and social time: indoor board and card games, puzzles, and cooperative play.

Relaxation and comfort: gentle massage, peaceful time with calming music, or a story.

Everyday life skills and fun: cooking simple meals together, gardening, or mindful movement like stretching or yoga.

Whether your child needs calm or stimulation, routine or spontaneity, I offer a supportive experience that honors their individuality — while giving you the space to rest, knowing they’re in safe and understanding hands.

Mobile Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is a gentle yet powerful way to release built-up stress and restore harmony to both body and mind. Using soothing, flowing movements, it eases muscle tension, calms the nervous system, and supports your overall sense of well-being. It’s an ideal choice if you’re seeking deep relaxation and a peaceful escape from daily stress.

Tailored to Your Needs
Every session is adapted to suit your preferences. Whether you enjoy a light, calming touch or need deeper pressure to relieve stubborn tension, I adjust the pressure and technique to your comfort. For those wanting more targeted relief, I can also integrate deep tissue techniques into your Swedish massage for a more therapeutic effect.

Swedish, Deep Tissue & Remedial Massage — What’s the Difference?

  • Swedish Massage
Aimed at relaxation and stress relief. Gentle to moderate pressure with long, flowing strokes to soothe muscles, boost circulation, and promote deep calm.
  • Deep Tissue Massage
Focuses on deeper layers of muscle to address chronic pain, knots, and tension. Uses firm, slow pressure to release adhesions and restore mobility.
  • Remedial Massage
A clinical approach to treat specific injuries or conditions. Combines deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and stretching to rehabilitate muscles and restore function.

Supporting Neurodivergent Individuals
Massage can be incredibly supportive for neurodivergent people, especially those with autism or ADHD. It helps regulate the nervous system, reduce sensory overload, and provide a safe, grounding experience. Swedish massage, with its gentle rhythm and calming touch, is often ideal — but for those needing more targeted relief, deep tissue techniques can be incorporated without overwhelming the senses.

I bring the massage to you, so that you can relax in the comfort of your own space. In some cases, sessions can also be arranged at my home, depending on availability and your needs.
